Register for the 2026/2027 Season of HSP!

Everything you need is right here, in five simple steps. Tap a step to open it and read the details.

Step 1: Come to the info meeting

6:30 pm, Monday, July 27th, 2026

Charity Baptist Church, 1617 Glowmont Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37412

At the end of the meeting, sign up in person for your student’s audition time slot on the paper schedule we provide.

Didn’t get the registration paperwork at the meeting? Download and print it here.

Missed it, or want to hear it again? Here’s a recording of the info meeting:

Step 2: Get ready for your audition

Before your student auditions, do these three things:

  1. Complete the online audition form for each student.
  2. Fill out and sign the paper forms and bring them with you: CSTHEA Code of Conduct & Commitment Statement (signed by the student), Audition Form, Conflict Calendar, and the Liability & Photo Release (signed by the parent). Didn’t get the paperwork at the info meeting? Download and print it here.
  3. Pay the $20 non-refundable audition fee. Pay online here, or bring $20 cash to the audition.

Your online form, your paper forms, and your $20 fee must all be done before your student auditions. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to check in.

New this year: please bring a photo of each student auditioning, with their name written on the back. Our judges see over 100 students across three audition days, and a photo next to each name helps them remember who’s who so every student gets full and fair attention.

If it’s your first time auditioning, we don’t want you to be surprised — even though you signed up for a 10-15 minute time slot, expect to spend about 30-60 minutes in case the schedule is running behind. It might not take that long, just make sure you set aside enough time.

Step 3: Find out if your student is cast

Cast and crew are announced in the week following auditions. We’ll post it on social media and email it to you from [email protected].

Step 4: If your student is accepted

Two things to take care of:

1. Pay your tuition and order your apparel

Both happen in the same place: our online tuition storefront, in a single checkout. You’ll pay tuition and add your student’s required HSP T-shirt plus any optional sweatshirts or extras (theatre shoes, stage makeup) all at once. Tuition and swag are due by the last Thursday in August.

Not sure whether your student needs theatre shoes and stage makeup? Full details are coming soon. For now, a first-year chorus student will need both. If your student is returning and you are not sure, just ask Mrs. Christen.

Want to know exactly what to order? Open Apparel details below for sizes, sweatshirts, and color charts.

Credit card is definitely the preferred payment method, but we can accommodate you if you want pay by cash or check. Either way, place your tuition and apparel order in the same storefront, then enter the code “cash” at checkout to effectively bring your order total to zero so you don’t need to enter any card details to complete check-out.

Then make your check payable to CSTHEA with “HSP” in the memo line and bring it to a Thursday rehearsal in August. Please don’t make us chase you down for your cash/check once you use that code.

Haven’t joined CSTHEA yet? Annual dues are separate from HSP tuition and required. Join CSTHEA here.

2. Attend the parent meeting

At least one parent from each family must attend the first 45 to 60 minutes of the first rehearsal, Thursday, August 13th at 5:30 pm.

Apparel details: sizes, sweatshirts, and colors

All apparel is ordered right in the tuition storefront (Step 4), in the same checkout as tuition. Here’s what to know before you choose.

Iolanthe Shirt Design

Required for every student

The short-sleeve HSP T-shirt ($20) is the uniform your student wears to every rehearsal, so order at least one in their size. Many families get two, to make laundry easier once we move to two rehearsals a week in the spring.

Optional extras

  • Long-sleeve T-shirt
  • Hoodie
  • Crewneck sweatshirt

Order your warm layer now. Non-HSP jackets and hoodies can’t be worn over the uniform, so an HSP hoodie, crewneck, or long-sleeve is the only warm layer your student can wear once it turns cold. This is the season’s one apparel order, placed right after the August 27th deadline, and a later reorder isn’t guaranteed. If your student will want a warm layer this year, add it now, even while it’s still hot out.

Orders are final at checkout. Everything ships as one group order and is handed out together at a rehearsal. Because orders flow straight into our bulk print order, no size or color changes, additions, or removals are possible after you submit, so please double-check sizes and colors with your student first.

Hoodie and crewneck color options

You’ll choose your sweatshirt color during checkout. The options differ slightly between hoodies and crewnecks. If a color isn’t listed in the store, it’s currently out of stock.

Step 5: Read the HSP handbook

If you haven’t already, take some time to read through the HSP Handbook. It answers the questions new families don’t even know to ask: the schedule, the costs, what to expect week to week, and how everything works.

The handbook is just for HSP families, so it asks for a password. If you don’t have it, ask any leader or email [email protected].
